AIRCRAFT CHARTER

 

HOW TO CHARTER

If you’re undecided as to what aircraft you require, when you might need it or if you simply don’t want to work out the logistics of it all yourself, give us a call on 0800 247 347 and we can help. Generally speaking, the information that you might want to consider prior to contacting us is;-

PRICING STRUCTURE

The pricing structure is very simple - unless you require a fixed price prior to departure (and this is available), and you can call us on 0800 247 347 to obtain one, you pay on your actual flight time. (i.e. 1 Hour 35 Minutes = 1.6 Hours Charged)

The charter rates listed below include GST and Airways/Landing Fees (everything--all up and paid), except for if landing at Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch -- add another $50.00.

If the pilot is required to be on the ground for more than three hours, $50.00 incl. GST per hour is charged from the 3rd hour onwards, up to a total of $200.00. Also, if the pilot is required to make an overnight stay, a fee of $200.00 is added unless client pays for the Pilot’s Accommodation & Meals. If the flight is of a significant duration we may disregard this fee.

 

CHARTER RATES

Cessna 172 - $420.00 per hour
Single Engine, 4-Seater (Suitable for 3 passengers)

Cessna 206 - $640.00 per hour
Single Engine, 6-Seater (Suitable for 5 passengers)

Piper Seneca - $860.00 per hour
Multi Engine, 6-Seater (Suitable for 5 passengers)

 

SURVEYING

GENERAL

Over the years Air Discovery has had a lot of involvement with various industries in the Bay of Plenty region requiring survey services. We currently have three aircraft types fit for the purpose of Surveying, we can provide for oblique and overhead aerial photography and all our pilot's have experience in Low and High Level Photography & Surveying which means that you can be sure to get what you want out of the service.

Our surveying services have been used for things such as;-

  • Low Level Survey (Such as gas pipe or powerline inspection)
  • High Level Survey (Such as photography -- Up to 10 000 feet)
  • Aerial Spotting (Traffic, Weather, Fishing, Coastguard, Illegal Activity & Civil Emergency)

PHOTOGRAPHY

GENERAL

Over the years Air Discovery has been involved with nearly every aerial photographer in the region and a large number of general photographers too. We currently have three aircraft types fit for the purpose of Surveying, we can provide for oblique and overhead aerial photography and all our pilot's have experience in Low and High Level Photography & Surveying which means that you can be sure to get what you want out of the service.  Furthermore, our pilots have had the experience in flying to know what conditions are desirable for photography and we will always look to provide you with what you need.

So if you’re a photographer by trade or simply an enthusiast, there truly is no better way to capture it than by air. We understand that in photography you are always dealing with uncertainties and are happy for you to make tentative bookings with us and there is no cost to cancel.

 

AIR FREIGHT

OUR SERVICES

Air Discovery has specialised in air freight since its inception in 2005. Over the years we have delivered goods to as far North as Keri Keri, South as Invercargill, West as New Plymouth and East as Ruatoria.

We have the flexibility in our operation to operate any aircraft that may be required for the job and at present we have two aircraft dedicated to and converted for freight, a Piper Seneca Multi-Engine Aircraft and a Cessna U206G.

We can provide our aircraft charter and freight service for any reason such as;-

  • Remote Delivery into unestablished airstrips
